about

"Fade To Orange was written for my amazing wife, Ari. It's nearly impossible to put into words or music what she means to me. This piece is my gift to her for being the greatest gift I could have ever asked for. It was performed on April 15th, 2011 (my 15th wedding anniversary) in Oakland, CA at the Paramount theater and later recorded by Eli Crews at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, Mills College in Oakland and Figure 8 Recording in Brooklyn, New York at the end of 2014.

The orchestral piece features Nels Cline [Wilco], Trevor Dunn [Mr Bungle, Fantômas] and Magik*Magik Orchestra conducted by Cheche Alara! with Ben Goldberg, Heidi Trefethen, Jeff Cressman, Steve Adams, Rich Armstrong and the great William Winant! The album includes super cool remixes by Yuka C Honda, Mocean Worker, John Dieterich, and Beautiful Bells!"
