"Fade To Orange was written for my amazing wife, Ari. It's nearly impossible to put into words or music what she means to me. This piece is my gift to her for being the greatest gift I could have ever asked for. It was performed on April 15th, 2011 (my 15th wedding anniversary) in Oakland, CA at the Paramount theater and later recorded by Eli Crews at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, Mills College in Oakland and Figure 8 Recording in Brooklyn, New York at the end of 2014.
The orchestral piece features Nels Cline [Wilco], Trevor Dunn [Mr Bungle, Fantômas] and Magik*Magik Orchestra conducted by Cheche Alara! with Ben Goldberg, Heidi Trefethen, Jeff Cressman, Steve Adams, Rich Armstrong and the great William Winant! The album includes super cool remixes by Yuka C Honda, Mocean Worker, John Dieterich, and Beautiful Bells!"

For Scott Amendola, the drum kit isn’t so much an instrument as a musical portal. As an ambitious composer, savvy bandleader
and capaciously creative foil for some of the world’s most inventive musicians, Amendola applies his wide-ranging rhythmic virtuosity to a vast array of settings....more

The very same people who brought you Doom Jazz LP got together with jazz/experimental guru Nels Cline and recorded this beauty. Dark Experimental Jazz - what else do you need? Kolin

Listening to this again today and it's terrific. This is different from most solo saxophone albums in a good way. Great melodic lines played with Tim's unique dark alto sound. Really like the track Curls. torzano
